A FAMOUS TV presenter originally from the area is planning to return to his stand-up roots in a new tour.
Joel Dommett - who was born in Rockhampton near Berkeley and Thornbury - is due to host a comedy night in Bristol next year.
The comedian - who also attended Castle School in Thornbury - is known for presenting The Masked Singer and hosting the annual National Television Awards.
It comes as Dommett has recently been announced as the new host of a spin off show to accompany the new series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
Dommett is due to perform at The Old Vic in Bristol on February 23, 2025 - the first date of his comedy tour across the UK.
The stand-up show will include tales from behind the camera and anecdotes of first-time fatherhood.
“I’m leaving your telly box and coming to you, heading up and down the country with my brand-new show, Happy Idiot,” he said.
“It’s going to be fun and you should come!”
Tickets will go on sale at 11am on Friday, November 8 from www.joeldommett.com
