AN ICONIC Scottish boyband from the 1970s is coming to a venue in Gloucestershire next year.
The Bay City Rollers, known for their teen idol popularity during the ‘70s, will perform at The Sub Rooms in George Street, Stroud, on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Ticket-holders are invited to journey back in time to the carefree days of the decade when the band ruled the charts.
Selling more than 300 million albums globally, the Bay City Rollers attracted fans of all ages, with Rollermania sweeping across the world.
Its ‘classic five’ line-up was made up of Les McKeown, Alan Longmuir, Derek Longmuir, Stuart ‘Woody’ Wood and Eric Faulkner.
Now original guitarist Mr Wood has brought together a group of musicians who embody the original band’s essence.
The current Bay City Rollers are Ian Thomson on lead vocals and guitar, John McLaughlin on vocals and keys, Mikey Smith on bass guitar, Jamie McGrory on drums and Mr Wood on guitar.
Tickets for the Bay City Rollers’ gig at The Sub Rooms cost £27.50 per person.
Doors for the seated event open at 7pm, with a start time of 8pm.
