YATE'S NEWEST care home will officially open with a grand launch event soon.

Care UK’s Ladden View, in Fletcher Road, will be opening its doors to the community on Wednesday, November 27 from 2pm to 4pm, to join the celebrations, along with some VIP visitors who will cut the ribbon.

With the first residents having moved into Ladden View in October, everyone at the home is now gearing up to celebrate its official opening.

Helping to mark the occasion will be birds of prey and owls from Owl Adventures, which visitors will have the opportunity to meet and have photographs with.

On arrival, guests will be met by the team in the home’s main reception area, where they can enjoy welcome drinks and canapés.

After the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, and announcing the home as officially open, visitors will have the opportunity to find out exactly what life is like at Ladden View.

Tours of the care home will be available, and visitors will be able to enjoy plenty of fun, family-friendly activities, including a live Caricaturist.

Care UK team member Rebecca Wright, who gave Ladden View its name, will also be in attendance for the ribbon cutting.

Guests attending the official opening will also have the opportunity to enjoy tasters of the meals on the residents’ menu at Ladden View, specially prepared by the home’s head chef.

Sarah Daly, home manager at Ladden View, said: “We’ve had such a warm and positive response from local people since we opened the doors to Ladden View in October – we already feel like part of the community!

“We’re delighted to be marking the official opening of our home later this month and to be able to celebrate with our neighbours, residents’ relatives and special guests.

"We can’t wait to show everyone the welcoming, friendly atmosphere we’ve created here at the home.

"On behalf of the team and residents here at Ladden View, I’d like to invite the people of Yate along to what promises to be a fun afternoon for all!”
