A 19-YEAR-OLD Dursley man has been ordered to do an extra one hour of unpaid community work for breaching a sentence he received for assault and theft.

Recorder Adam Vaitlingham, sitting at Gloucester Crown Court, heard how Jonathon French-Bell had missed appointments on February 2, March 3, and March 6.

French-Bell, of Third Avenue, Highfield, admitted breaching a 12 month supervised community sentence he received on January 7 this year.

He had also been given unpaid work and a programme requirement, the court heard.

Steve Young, mitigating, said French-Bell wasn't ignoring the order and said he was still on medication, both to help him sleep and for depression.

Recorder Vaitilingam said he appreciated the difficulty French-Bell was having on the order but said that he just had to get it done.

He said he would not give him a curfew but instead, add an extra hour to his community service.

Earlier this year French-Bell admitted common assault and theft of cigarettes and was given a one year community and supervision order. He was told to do 150 hours of unpaid work.
