AN ECO-homes open day event was such a success that organisers are looking to repeat it and are calling for more volunteers.
Last September dozens of homeowners in Stroud opened their doors to show of their green technology and encourage other residents to make their properties eco-friendly.
Now Transition Stroud, in partnership with Stroud Valleys Project, is planning another event and this time they want ‘green’ volunteers from Dursley and Cam to open their homes.
Helen Royall, from Transition Stroud, said: "If you think your home would be suitable as an example of eco-renovation we’d like you to join us. We want to extend the open homes to Dursley and Cam this year.
"The aim of the project is to offer people the opportunity to see what lower carbon technologies could be applied to homes and gain practical advice from home owners."
The eco-homes featured in the 2008 event included measures like wood-pellet boilers, lime plaster, solar thermal, green roofs, co-housing, rainwater harvesting and external insulation.
