A FORMER leisure centre gym instructor who was found guilty of 'flashing' at two women in the Cotswolds has been given a 12 month community order.

Greg Livingstone, 29, who was working as a brewery van driver at the time of the two offences, claimed he was just urinating when the shocked women saw him on separate occasions a week apart.

Judge Martin Picton told Livingstone, previously of good character, he didn't know why he had denied the offences and gone to trial, which had made it worse for him.

He sentenced him to a 12 month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work for what he called "bizarre and upsetting" behaviour.

He also ordered that Livingstone, of Lower Moor Road, Yate, must pay £200 towards the cost of the prosecution.

David Martin, defending, told the judge that Livingstone was now very "pushed for money" and had got work as a DJ three Fridays a month and had signed on.

He had previously worked as a gym instructor at Yate Leisure Centre but has since left.

Last month, the jury convicted him of intentionally exposing himself to an 18-year-old girl at Cerney Wick, Gloucestershire, on April 29 last year and again to a 55-year-old woman at Shipton Moyne on May 6.

The jury heard character references from four people who spoke of his polite manner, hard working nature and stable family background.
