THREE horses worth £11,000 have been stolen from their owner in Alveston.

The animals, called Frankie, Bow and Wills, were taken over night between Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16.

Frankie is described as a gelding, chestnut in colour, 16hh, with a white blaze on his face and three white socks.

Bow is a 10-year-old gelding, 15.2hh, with black and white blanket spots. He has appolosa markings on his body and face.

Wills is a dapple-grey gelding, nine-years-old, 14.2hh, with a white blaze and white socks.

Sgt Craig Ogborne, of Thornbury Police Station, said: "These three horses were stolen from a field and the lock securing the animals had been cut off.

"I would like to remind people to take appropriate security measures using proper locks and consider freeze marking animals.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who might have seen something during the evening when the horses were taken."
