POLICE in Wotton-Under-Edge are appealing for witnesses to two incidents of criminal damage in the town.
Police received a report from the owner of Reg’s Chicken, Pizza and Kebab shop on Market Street, that his car, which was parked in the Chipping Car Park, had been scratched down the ‘nearside’ of the vehicle between 2am and 1.40pm on Wednesday, May 20.
He had also discovered that an offensive word had been scratched into the wooden doorframe of the shop itself.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact them as soon as possible. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 239 of May 20.
