A RUGBY club is hoping people will down a few ales to raise money for their clubhouse.
Dursley Rugby Club is holding their annual beer festival on Saturday, June 6 at their grounds in Stinchcombe.
It will be the sixth time the club has held the event and each year it grows in popularity.
In previous years the profits have gone towards buying an extra eight acres of land that the club acquired to cope with increasing numbers. This year the focus will be on raising money to renovate the existing clubhouse.
At the festival there will be a wide selection of real ales, cider, lager and wine all to the sounds of bands Gecko, Apollo 13 and Macaroni Penguins.
The afternoon will see an adults touch-rugby competition and for the children a magician and a display by a local falconer, Ben Long with his birds of prey.
Tickets are £5 each (with children under 18 free) and can be purchased from the club website www.durlseyrfc.co.uk or from Bramleys Green Grocery, 29 Parsonage Street Dursley.
