POLICE are again calling for witnesses who see scrambler bikes in Stinchcombe woods to contact them and help with their inquiries.
Police in Dursley have received a number of complaints regarding the use of scarmbler bikes in the woods and they want people to come forward with information to help them catch those riding the bikes.
Sgt Ben Darcy, of Dursley Police Station, said: "It is illegal to ride scramblers around these woods and police will be taking positive action and prosecuting anyone identified partaking in this activity.
"Use of these bikes in such areas can lead to environmental issues such as damage to flora and fauna. Not only this but these bikes are a danger to walkers and horse riders, who are using the woods for recreational purposes."
If anyone has information about the scrambler bikes they should contact Dursley police on 0845 090 1234.
