A CLASS of primary school pupils are serving up delicious cakes at their community café.
Pupils from North Nibley Primary School have opened a community café serving a range of baked treats for parents and friends.
The children have organised every part of the venture including creating menus, designing posters and flyers and investigating costs and prices.
Teacher Rebecca Surridge said: "The children have been very enthusiastic about getting involved in this project.
"They are responsible for all of the publicity for the café and this has involved them in creating posters, flyers and radio jingles that are being played outside the school to attract customers.
"They will be making a variety of mouth-watering cakes and cookies and serving tea and coffee in the school’s picnic area. We are hoping that we will get support for this venture- which is designed to give the children a practical awareness of money and the world of work. "
Any profits from the café will be used to pay for a residential trip to London that will be taking place in October.
