STAFF and children at Charfield Pre-school are celebrating their recent Ofsted report.
Overall, the provision of care at the 21-child pre-school was deemed to be ‘good’, with an effective setting that ‘ensures that the needs and interests of all the children… are fully met so that children enjoy learning and make good progress.’ Links with Charfield Primary School were also praised, as were the recent steps taken to improve care provision at the pre-school, which includes making good use of recent training.
The report also noted that partnership with the parents is good and that their children now thoroughly enjoy going to pre-school, with ‘good opportunities (for parents) to discuss their child’s progress at newly introduced consultation evenings and contribute to their child’s learning journeys’.
Pre-school leader Deborah Davidson said: "We are really pleased with the response from the insectors.
"It’s especially good because the new team, which includes my deputy Lucy May and play assistants Suki Lander and Sarah Wilcox, only got together in March and the inspection took place in May."
