A MEMORIAL bench placed in Rockhampton Cricket Ground has been stolen.
Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that occurred overnight from July 3 to 4 at the cricket ground in Rockhampton, near Berkeley.
A three seater teak bench, which had a brass plate in memory of Bob Weaver on it was stolen, along with an A-shaped garden table and one other bench.
PC Stephanie Mitchell, from Staple Hill Police Station, said: "It is quite possible that someone may have seen people moving the bench into their house or it might be for sale somewhere."
If you have any information relating to the incident contact PC Mitchell on 01179 454165 quoting incident number 86588/09 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
