GLASSES were raised to toast one of the most successful Chipping Sodbury Beer Festivals ever.
A sell-out crowd of 2,000 enjoyed two days of supping and sampling real ales and ciders on Friday and Saturday.
Ken Hopley, from Yate Rotary Club which organised the event, said: "It was a huge success.
"Tickets sold out well in advance so that was great and although it rained on Saturday it didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm for enjoying themselves."
The beer festival, now in its 14th year, was held at Chipping Sodbury Rugby Club and included a line-up of 120 different beers, ales and ciders from all over the country.
Local brewers were also given a chance to show off their skills as beers from Cotswold Spring, Uley and Wickwar breweries were on sale.
The annual tug-of-war competition was won by the Bradley Stoke Judo Club and festival-goers enjoyed a drink or two whilst listening to the sounds of six local bands.
Mr Hopley said: "There was a great atmosphere, particularly on Saturday, when people were dancing under their umbrellas.
"All the proceeds will go direct to local and national charities as well as individual who needs the support of Yate Rotary Club."
He added: "Plans are already underway for next year’s festival, which will be held on July 9 and 10."
