POLICE in Wickwar have launched an investigation after a spate of burglaries.
Thieves broke into a house overnight between Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 and stole a computer console and electrical equipment.
They also tried to break into another three homes in the village during the same evening.
Sgt Adrian Fallows, from Chipping Sodbury police, said: "We are linking all four incidents and believe they tried to gain entry from the rear of the properties.
"We would encourage people that during the warmer days and evenings to ensure that when they go to bed their property is locked up correctly, including all windows on the ground floor."
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in Wickwar or has any information is asked to call the police on 0845 456 7000.
