A CHARITY shop in Thornbury is celebrating 25 years of raising money to provide aid for the world’s poor.
People in the town have been donating unwanted items such as clothes and books to the High Street shop for more than two decades.
All money from sales have boosted the aid and development work of Oxfam around the world.
The Oxfam shop also sells a number of Fairtrade items such as coffee, cards and chocolate.
Lucy Rutter, manager of the shop, said: "To mark the 25 years we have had a party, this week there will be a thank you window display for the people of Thornbury and on Saturday, August 1 all donated stock will have 25 percent off just to say thank you to local people for all the support they have shown us over the years.
"The shop is doing really well and always receives lots of support."
