A BOOK written by a former Wotton resident and published by her daughter has sold over 100 copies.
Nicola Dickinson, of Wotton, spent the last four years trying to get her mother’s book, called a Country Girls Diary, published.
Having succeeded in getting the book printed she is now celebrating selling all 100 copies and is even planning to get some more done.
The book, written by Joyce Kidman, is the story of her mother, who lived in Wotton from the age of three. It also contains some of the 2,000 poems Mrs Kidman wrote during her life.
Mrs Dickinson now plans to give the money she has made from the book to the Electric Picture House in Wotton.
"I am so thrilled to have sold so many copies of my mother’s book, it took me so long to get it published," said Mrs Dickinson.
"I always said that I would give the money back to the community so I decided to give it to the cinema."
