TEEN heart-throb and pop star Peter Andre will perform at this year’s Christmas lights switch on in Yate, the Gazette can reveal.
The singer and reality TV star will appear at Yate Shopping Centre’s annual Christmas launch night on Thursday, November 19.
Peter, the ex-husband of glamour model Katie Price, will perform his new single Ready For Us which is due to be released in December.
He will be on stage at 4.15pm for 30 minutes and meet and greet some lucky fans.
Tracy King, manager of the shopping centre, said everyone was very excited about Peter’s appearance.
She said extra security measures would be put in place to cope with the number of fans expected to turn up to see the singer.
She added there would be separate spectator areas and when they are full no one else would be admitted to them.
"It is very exciting and fantastic for Yate," she said.
Peter, who recently landed a job as a showbiz reporter on ITV’s This Morning, is promoting his new album Revelation. At a signing session at Asda in Bedminster in September, thousands of fans queued for up to 10 hours to meet the Australian-born star.
