THE BODY of a woman was found beneath ice in pond in Frampton-on-Severn at the weekend.
A dog walker made the discovery at around 11.25am on Sunday, January 3. A rapid-response paramedic and an ambulance were called but the woman, a 59-year-old from Stonehouse, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Gloucestershire Police spokeswoman said detective were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
"Police were called after a member of the public spotted the body. The woman is believed to be in her 50s but her death isn't thought to be suspicious."
The coroner and next of kin have been informed.
