THE region has been told to brace itself for more snow with up to 25cm expected to fall in the next 24 hours.
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for the entire South West including South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire.
Between 6pm tonight, Tuesday, January 5 and midnight tomorrow, Wednesday, January 6 there is a 60 percent chance of heavy snowfall across parts of central, western and southern England and southeast Wales.
The Met Office said: "Accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are expected widely, with locally 10 to 15cm in central parts where there is a moderate risk of over 25cm.
"This is expected to cause disruption to transport networks and could lead to problems with power supplies.
"Outdoor events and activities could also be affected by the snow."
