THIS is a plea from the heart. Has anyone bought any old books from the Cotswold Care charity shop in Dursley?
The reason I am asking is that our darling mum, Dorothy Bidwell, died at the beginning of March and by accident her treasured old books were taken to the charity shop in Parsonage Street.
They have been very kind and are doing their best to help but I felt it could be a good idea to write to the Gazette with its wide readership.
The main book is a child's book which is cardboard and in a green cardboard cover with a kitten and a puppy on it and I can't remember the title or what else is on the cover but Mum had it when she was five and she was 90 when she died, so it is irreplaceable.
Also, if anyone has bought an old book there with inscriptions to either 'Dorothy' or 'Emma', our granny, I'd be grateful to hear. I will willingly pay to have any of them back.
