YOUTHS have been blamed for vandalising the disabled toilets in Berkeley.
On Tuesday night unknown offenders prised open the doors to the toilet in Marybrook Street.
Berkeley town councillor Ted Holmes said: "We suspect it was youths but it could have been anyone. The door to the toilet was prised off and an instrument was used to smash the door. Extensive damage was caused inside - the toilet pan was completely smashed. It was in a right state.
"The incident has been reported to the police and Stroud District Council." Anyone with information is asked to call Gloucestershire Police on 0845 090 1234 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
