A TOWN Hall Teas event is to be started in Dursley.
The weekly Sunday event will begin in May and run through to the last weekend in September.
The event, running from 2.30 to 5pm, will provide tea, coffee and a slice of home-made cake at the town hall. Charities will receive all the proceeds from the event, minus the hire charge.
Organiser Cllr Ronnie Harding is looking for charities and organisations from the Dursley area to run the events.
She said: "Following on from Janet Walshe's success in Wotton-under-Edge Town Hall we would like to put Dursley on the map. Dursley Town Trust has given their agreement for the teas to take place.
"Charities and organisations will be providing an opportunity for the Cotswold walkers and tourists alike to enjoy a break while in Dursley and it will be a great way fro locals to meet up in the town on Sunday."
Any group interested in booking a slot for a town hall tea should call Cllr Harding on 01453 547080.
