WOTTON Animal Rescue still appears to be closed this week despite a report in another newspaper that the centre had re-opened.
Last week owner Veronica Bruce told the Gazette that she was definitely not re-opening.
But another report on Friday claimed Miss Bruce had changed her mind and had decided to carry on with her operation at Monkham Thorns, near Charfield.
Miss Bruce closed her centre following a charity collection incident with Cllr June Cordwell in the entrance to Wotton Co-op.
A Gazette reporter visited Miss Bruce's house on Wednesday to find the gates padlocked and 'Closed' signs on the gates.
The Gazette has been unable to contact Miss Bruce despite repeated phone calls.
