PLANS are gaining momentum for a tsunami appeal fundraising day in Wotton-under-Edge on Saturday, January 22 when all rooms in the civic centre will be used.
The Save the Children group will be serving coffee and refreshments from 9.30am in the Coombe Suite and then from noon Wotton's Christian Aid group will take over, providing soup and roll lunches.
Other rooms will house stalls, including an extensive bring and buy featuring quality bric-a-brac and unwanted Christmas presents.
People are invited to bring donations for this stall, which should not include clothes.
Wotton Ladies Circle will be selling quiz sheets and running a game of chance, while there will also be craft and produce stalls.
And a book stall will be receiving good quality books to sell on the day.
Anyone with ideas about other stalls they would like to run will not be charged for the space - to offer help, contact Janet Walshe on 01453 843060.
Mrs Walshe said: "This may seem a long time after the disaster, but funds need to continue, to help communities rebuild."
