CAM Cricket Club's youth section are inviting all parents and carers of their U9s, U11s, U13s and U15s cricketers to their AGM at Cam Sports Club on Sunday, January 23, at 6pm.
There will be reviews of last season, when playing membership reached 120 youngsters and six league teams were entered in the Stroud Youth Leagues with much success.
Plans for the coming season include two evenings of training for coaches and volunteers, entering an additional U13s side in the league and developing the very successful Cam Junior Cricket Festival, now in its fourth year.
Following generous financial support from Dursley Lions and Dursley Round Table, the club is well equipped and club officers are grateful for the use of Rednock School's artificial wicket and cricket facilities at Norman Hill.
Indoor training sessions have been extended this year and will start on February 5. running through every Saturday evening until the outdoor season begins: Years five, six and seven, boys and girls are welcome, 6.15pm-7.15pm every Saturday through February and March; similarly Years eight, nine and ten cricketers take their turn from 7.15pm-8.15pm.
