SIR - Under the Edge Arts is holding its second Postcard Sized Art Exhibition on February 5 and 6 in the civic centre in Wotton.
This exhibition was very popular last year and many people said they would like to contribute something this time round. Last year's show included artworks from people of all ages and abilities and once again all entries will be welcome and exhibited.
You can use any materials and processes (photography, collage, painting, drawing, embroidery, textiles, etc.), any subject matter so long as the size is no bigger than 10cm x 15cm. Do not frame or mount the work. You can put a title on the front if you wish but your name must be put on the back only.
All works will be offered for sale at modest prices to raise funds for the arts centre. All entries must be handed in to Rob Collins at 4 Parklands by Thursday, February 4.
In recognition of the fact that Wotton has recently welcomed a number of new design businesses in addition to those already flourishing in the town, we are having a design day at the arts centre on March 12.
Anyone running a design business no matter how large or small in Wotton or surrounding villages is invited to set up a small display illustrating their particular involvement with design and have someone to answer questions from visitors to the exhibition. We hope to create an exhibition featuring a broad range of design activities.
If you would like your business to be included in the project please contact me on 844070.
