FOREST Green Rovers boss Tim Harris has swooped to sign former Tottenham defender Darren Davies and Southampton's Michael Green.
These additions follow the recent triple capture of Charlie Griffin, Danny Greaves and Matt Aubrey.
Davies is a former Welsh U21 international and has represented Wales at each age group from the age of 15 to 21.
He spent four years at Spurs where his two years as an apprentice were followed by two years as a professional when he played regularly for the youth and reserves teams at White Hart Lane.
Davies joined Barry Town on a full-time contract and played in two championship sides and in a Champions League match against the Maltese side Valletta.
After two years Davies was transferred to Greenock Morton FC in the Scottish Second Division.
Davies then returned to play full-time for Dover in the Football Conference on a three-year contract.
Rovers' boss Harris offered 25-year-old Davies a contract when he found out he was returning to live in his native Wales.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Gloucester-born Michael Green impressed at the end of last season when he joined Forest Green on a non-contract basis, after being released by Southampton where he played in their academy and reserve teams.
Harris said:"I have been impressed by Darren and Michael's attitude, ability and potential."
Meanwhile, Premiership giants Southampton will top the bill at The Lawn this summer after Forest Green announced their pre-season programme.
The Saints will come to The Lawn on Friday, July 16.
Rovers start their pre-season friendlies at Northern Senior Division One side Chalford on Friday, July 9, and they will also face Nationwide Division One side Reading, Division Three Cheltenham Town, Division One side Cardiff City and Division Two play-off finalists Bristol City, with the Bristol game being a part of the Steve Perrin Testimonial programme.
