GLOUCESTERSHIRE Gladiators will be going head to head with pub cricket teams from across the county this summer as part of an exciting new challenge.
The Gladiators, Gloucestershire CCC's one-day side, have launched a six-a-side cricket tournament called 'Beat The Unbeatables' with the participating pubs all getting a chance to win £3,000 if their team can give the one-day giants a run for their money.
The zany challenge is a scheme that aims to bring the club closer to the community, while offering fans the chance to live out their cricketing dreams.
Participating pubs throughout Gloucestershire will play a preliminary knock-out competition of five overs per side, in groups of four teams, with the winners going forward to a semi-final, then a final.
Each preliminary final winner will get the chance to take on the Gladiators at The County Ground on September 26.
The preliminary rounds of the competition are taking place at Bristol on June 20 and Gloucester on July 11.
The entrance fee for each six-a-side team is £60 and a full set of rules is available on request.
There is still some availability for pub teams wishing to participate and anyone wishing to be a part of the challenge should contact either Jon Fletcher on 0117 910 8046 or Emma Logan on 07733 112182.
The Gladiators lie in wait!
