THIRTEEN of the most picturesque private gardens in and around North Nibley will be opening their gates to the public on Sunday.
In a spectacular combined open day owners will be raising money for charity.
The gardens include Hunts Court, renowned for its collection of old English roses; Crowell Brook Mill, a newly-landscaped garden with interlinked lakes and streams; and two gardens which are opening for the first time, one of which features a newly planted wild flower meadow.
Proceeds from the event will go to support North Nibley's community-run village shop and St Martin's Church, North Nibley.
The gardens will be open from 11am to 6pm, with lunches and teas being served at some of the gardens.
Tickets, which give access to all 13 gardens, cost £5 for adults, with children free.
The main parking is at Hunts Court and Nibley House, North Nibley, off the B4060 between Wotton-under-Edge and Dursley.
Anyone wanting further information on the event should call the event organisers on 01453 547440.
