SIR - Myself, and I'm sure many more readers, must have been appalled and upset with the callous, unnecessary shooting of a family of innocent trust robins!
Visiting Wyevale quite some months ago now, I noticed robins flying around and enquired as to whether or not they were able to get out. I was informed that they can work the security system and come in to pick up the scraps, then go out again. He also said they are extremely clever. Obviously a great deal more intelligent that the persons responsible for ordering the shooting of them. Furthermore, the cafe should be left spotlessly clean, preventing the robins, or in fact, anything else feeding on the scraps!
Why did Wyevale not act sooner? And are they ceasing trade in bird products? Wyevale have lost another customer along with my neighbours. We are off to Highfields Nurseries.
