Hydegate Pet Hotel supervisor Vicki Carpenter with Sam, the Siamese cat with strange sleeping habits GJA428H04 THE UNUSUAL habits of a guest in an Uley cattery are causing much amusement for staff.
Samantha, a Siamese, checked into Hydegate Pet Hotel this week and has since been bewildering staff with her desire to sleep outside.
Owner Terry Meredith said Samantha has been dragging her bed through a tiny cat-flap in the door to her run.
"Every morning when we come in she has dragged this enormous bed through a tiny hole out into the run," he said. "We can't understand how she does it - she is not a very big cat and the bed is huge. It is very weird and quite a funny sight."
Samantha then sleeps outside in the bed until the pet hotel carers move it back inside.
Mr Meredith said occasionally guests do have unusual habits - "Some of the pets who come on holiday with us do things that we find quite strange, but it always causes a bit of amusement for staff."
