A LONG-SERVING Marks & Spencer employee from Dursley has been rewarded for her loyal service in a special ceremony at the company's London headquarters.
Linda Jones received a clock from Marks & Spencer chairman Luc Vandevelde and other members of the board at the ceremony, which was attended by more than 200 staff.
She was then treated to a champagne reception and a night on the town at a West End show.
Mrs Jones began working with the company as a lingerie advisor at the Bristol store and now is a finance assistant at the Gloucester branch.
She said: "I thoroughly enjoy working at Marks & Spencer and it has been great having the opportunity to make such good friendships over the years. However, the best bit about working in the store is meeting people every day."
Mr Vandevelde said that the company was always keen to reward the excellence of their staff.
He said: "The customer service provided by staff in our stores across the country is first class and we are always delighted by the loyalty our staff show. "The ceremony is our way of thanking them for the many years of hard work and dedication they have given."
