A SLICE of Italy has landed in Yate with the arrival of a new pizza restaurant.
National chain Domino's Pizza has just opened a new take-away outlet in the town's shopping centre and will not only be delivering some fancy toppings, but will also share out some dough.
The firm is creating 25 jobs at the North Parade store.
Store manager Davide Borbato said: "I want to employ local people who live and work in the community that we'll be serving.
"First and foremost I'll be looking for people who can deliver great customer service and demonstrate strong teamwork skills, as well as boundless enthusiasm - it gets busy here, especially on Friday nights when we can deliver 100 pizzas an hour."
The company celebrated the opening on Wednesday by serving up a treat to passing shoppers.
Yate's pizza-lovers can now get hold of their favourite dishes by ordering over the phone, the internet or through their television as Domino's Pizza has signed up to the technological shopping revolution.
