UNDERAGE drinkers in Yate and Chipping Sodbury are unlikely to have any luck buying alcohol in the town.
A recent crackdown by police and South Gloucestershire Trading Standards revealed off-licences in the two towns are tough on selling drink to under 18s.
Undercover police and trading standards officers accompanied 14 and 15 year olds to 11 stores to see if they could buy alcohol.
Every single shop refused to sell any drinks to the youngsters.
Acting inspector Sgt Andy McIlrath said: "I am very pleased with the responsible attitude demonstrated by the licensees.
"I have recently written to them asking for their vigilance, especially around the Mop Fair and they have responded in a very positive way."
The area's clean sheet is in stark contrast to Filton, where five out of eight stores visited did sell alcohol to underage teenagers.
All five shops have been issued an £80 penalty and have been warned similar operations will be carried out in the near future.
Filton sector inspector Richard Corrigan said the force would be adopting a zero tolerance approach to offending shop-owners. He warned that traders could be stripped of their liquor license if caught for a second time.
