I AM horrified by the councillors' decision to approve the new headquarters in Yate, at a cost of £21million, and folks it will take the council 21 years to pay for this project.
The councillors also agreed a sum of £400,000 to be allocated to the project from this year's budget. It is a disgrace to the people of South Gloucestershire community.
The main services have already been cut by the councillors of South Gloucestershire and town councillors in previous years since the Liberal Democrats took power in South Gloucestershire.
This extra money, which was allocated by the government to help with the community tax, would have helped pensioners, the lower paid and the services which has been affected in the past.
The 2.9% of the community tax agreed at Christmas time should stay at that percentage and not the 3.9% agreed by the councillors at a second time of agreement.
Come on you councillors, allocate the money to the people and services who really need it and stop the poverty and hardship which you are causing each year.
