A WALL of art created by youngsters in Yate has been unveiled in one of the town's play areas.
Teenagers who attend St Nicholas Youth Centre have been working on the artwork, which they hope will send a strong message against racism, with UWE art teacher Max Gregor.
Their artistic creations have now been transferred onto the wall at the Witches' Hat Play Area and will be on view for all to see.
Youth workers Sam Smith and Sheldon Wressell have been exploring the issues of racism with youngsters at the centre with the help of the Football Foundation's Kick It Out project, aimed at kicking racism out of football.
Youth worker Margaret Jones said: "The project has aimed to look at attitudes to race and culture and exploring prejudice and inequality and the arts wall reflects those themes."
A group of very different faces have transformed the wall to show the youngsters' understanding of race diversity. It is hoped the logo "equal streets" will act as a strong message to children using the play area.
