Marlow 1 Yate Town 4
YATE stormed back into fourth spot in the Southern League Western Division after this stuning away day, in which they scored four goals in the space of just 15 minutes.
Rich Thompson's men had trailed 1-0 for most of the game but amazingly turned things around after pulling level as late as the 75th minute.
Yate had looked out of sorts in a dour first half, going behind in the sixth minute to a Rob Gibson volley. They had goalkeeper Tony Court to thank for keeping them in the match after vital saves from Gibson and Yashwa Romeo.
Early in the second half, manager Thompson made what turned out to be an inspired substitution, withdrawing centre back Shane Andrews and throwing on striker Justin Pritchard to form a three-pronged strike force.
It proved to be a master stroke as Pritchard scored an incredible individual goal to level the scores on 75 minutes before turning provider almost immediately afterwards with a pinpoint cross for fellow striker Darren Edwards to head home.
The three forwards suddenly took over, and Pritchard added his second before Matt Rawlins turned his marker brilliantly before firing in the fourth.
All in all, an incredible turnaround for Yate, who will hope this result inspires them in their quest to finish among the top places in the division.
