THE new bus services for Thornbury that began on February 13 are to be welcomed, in particular the direct link Thornbury now has with a major railway station at Parkway.
This has been needed for years and goes some way to creating an integrated transport system in South Gloucestershire.
However, I am concerned that without good publicity the new services could be under-used and possibly withdrawn, so the villages and people who would benefit from the new services should be made fully aware of the changes to the bus services and be encouraged to make use of them.
Great publicity is needed and I urge you to spread the word widely so that, among other advantages, there might be less traffic congestion of South Gloucestershire roads.

Editor's note: Apologies for the omission Mr Wilkins. Details of the new services are included this week.
