HUNDREDS of model railway exhibits steamed into Yate on Saturday and excited the crowds - both young and old.
Sodbury Vale Model Railways Club's 21st annual show took over Yate Community Centre and pulled in all sorts of enthusiasts and collectors.
The exhibition especially proved popular with youngsters. Club secretary Jeff Kellett said: "It appears to have been very successful, the place was very busy all the time.
"There were lots of youngsters there, which we like to see, as it is good to get young people interested in model railways.
"Even though they can't actually join the club, it is nice to see them interested and bringing their parents to these events."
He said with so many trains and track pieces on the market nowadays, the exhibition unsurprisingly included a whole mixture of different types of displays.
