THREE all-singing former and current teachers are heading back to school for a very different reason.
Legendary West performer Fred Wedlock, a former teacher at Elm Park Primary School in Winterbourne, is coming to The Ridings Arts Centre next week and bringing along some special friends.
Kate McNab, who used to teach at St Michael's Primary School in the village, and Keith Christmas, a teacher at Ashton Park Secondary School in Bristol, will be joining the comic master of folk songs and West Country tales.
Kate, and her guitarist partner Kit Morgan, will be displaying their vocal and musical talents in a medley of songs.
Singer and actress Kate, best known for her part in Bristol Old Vic's production of Up the Feeder, Down the Mouth, and Keith, a singer song-writer, will be playing with Fred on Thursday(7.30pm).
Fred told the Gazette: "Keith is a Bristol hero and Kit is widely regarded as the best guitarist in the West Country.
"Musically, it will be a really good show. I am just the comic there to make the others look superb!
"It is a complete coincidence that we are or were all teachers. We're all coming back to do something we would not normally do at school.
Tickets for the show are available on 0117 9568812 or 07976 632682.
