SIR - Last year Marie Curie Nurses nursed 15,000 people with cancer in their own homes. This year we want to be able to care for even more people and give them the opportunity to live out their days surrounded by their loved ones, friends and pets in familiar surroundings.
That's why we are asking you to get behind the Great Daffodil Appeal and join the thousands of volunteers who are supporting us during this time. We are looking for people who would be kind enough to help with street collections and super market collections in their local areas. Just two hours of your time could raise enough money to fund two days of nursing care.
Sue, a Great Daffodil appeal volunteer says: "I started collecting locally with a two hour stint. I was amazed at how encouraging people were when they made a donation. Now six years on, I manage a team of ten volunteers. It's such a positive thing to do."
If you would like to find out more about the services provided by Marie Curie Cancer Care, or you are interested in helping the charity please contact Sian Millard on 01905 427531 or email: sian.millard@mariecurie.org.uk In anticipation of your support during this appeal, thank you!
