Bitton 1 Hallen 1
HALLEN should have walked away with this game but were forced to settle for a draw after missing a glut of good chances.
In the first half Tony Beacham hit a post and Tom Collett missed three gilt-edged chances. After missing another opportunity, Beacham put Hallen in front five minutes before half-time.
The game was more even in the second half, but Hallen were still missing chances, and paid the price when they coughed up a 60th minute equaliser when keeper Steve Scannell made an error of judgement in coming for a ball which he failed to reach, and it was headed past him by James Riccio.
In the last minute of the game Beacham lofted the ball over the keeper but with the goal at his mercy he again hit the post.
Manager Gary Domone's comment was: "We were unlucky and should have won convincingly. We played well though and are now nearly back to the way we were at the start of the season."
l This Saturday Hallen are home to Bishop Sutton, a team with some good young players.
