IF YOU'RE feeling a little low after the holiday festivities then Thornbury-based Octopus Players have just the thing to perk you up.
Laughter will be guaranteed when the players stage their 2005 pantomime - Harry Spotter and the Essence of Happiness - at Christ the King Church Hall starting next Wednesday.
There's trouble brewing after someone steals the Happeness Essense from Mrs Santa. It must be found or Christmas will never be the same again. Audiences will cheer Harry, Buffy and friends as they rescue both the Essence and Mrs Santa from the Baddies of Hogworths and the Incredible Sulk and will thrill to the Thornbury Forest Olympic Games.
As with all good pantos, everyone lives happily ever after.
The panto runs from January 12-14 (7.30pm) and on Saturday, January 15 (11am and 2.30pm). Tickets from RA Bennett, estate agents, on The Plain, Thornbury or from Gill Brooks on 01454 416637 or Paul Beever on 01454 414894.
They're already selling fast but seats are still available for the Wednesday and Thursday evening shows and for the Saturday morning.
