WHY not get into the spirit of the European Championships this summer and try something as inventive as a Beckham and mushroom pizza?
A fast-food shop in Yate is supporting England's campaign in the football tournament by launching a competition to immortalise the squad - by naming pizzas after them.
Perfect Pizza in Abbotswood Shopping Centre is asking its customers to come up with different names for their favourite take-aways.
So far managers of the store have suggested Pepper-Owen-i pizza and Ashley coleslaw but they are desperate for some better ideas.
Franchisee Sukhdip Sangha said: "We are compiling a Euro 2004 section for our website and are looking for some funny ways of incorporating the players names or team names into our menu.
"Euro 2004 will be a really busy time for us with people ordering in food for the games, so I think it is a good way to show we are backing the boys to go all the way in Portugal."
The winning suggestions will be highlighted on the website in the run up to the event, and the winners will then receive a complimentary, home-delivered pizza for every England match during the tournament.
Mr Sangha added: "Hopefully the deliveries will go all the way to the final."
