FLORAL displays depicting memorable moments from the past 100 years were on display at the Yate Methodist Church flower festival on Saturday.
The event at the Methodist Church was a part of the Church's centenary year, with 12 displays including events in the church's history. Some of the more spectacular arrangements, made by members of the congregation, included Concorde's last flight, women getting a vote, scenes from the two World Wars and changes in children's television.
The minister, the Rev Stuart Wild, said: " A lot of people came to visit the church and stayed for lunch and cream teas in the afternoon.
"We had two Methodist ladies from Bulgaria, who were visiting the area, come to the event."
Other centenary events include the Boys' Brigade car wash and brunch on Saturday, June 12, a 1940s tea dance on Saturday, June 27 and a 1950s Coronation Party in July.
