FIVE Thornbury friends who took part in last weekend's charity Moonwalk in London hope to have raised more than £1000 for breast cancer research.
Annie Parker, Gill Stenning, Laurette Edwards, Marjorie Warren and Zoe Gilbraith padded round the capital with thousands of other women - and a few brave men- during the early hours of Sunday.
"We called ourselves the A - Z Team as our names range from Annie to Zoe," said Zoe Galbraith.
"The evening was fantastic and we walked the entire 26.2 miles in our bras, finishing in glorious sunshine at 7.34am, exactly eight hours after we started. It was slightly longer than we had hoped - but we finished!
"There were so many people walking, some very courageously in memory of a lost friend or loved one and a few who were suffering themselves."
Zoe said they would particularly like to thank staff and patients at Thornbury health centre and members of Thornbury Rugby Club for their support and sponsorship.
