SPEEDING motorists in Rangeworthy are causing a nuisance and the parish council has decided to do everything it can to stop them.
The current limit through the main route of the village is 40mph but councillors are concerned that not enough motorists are adhering to it.
Clerk to the council Barry Miller said: "It is an ongoing problem which has been going on since speeding laws were invented. People just don't keep to the limit and so, the parish council will ask South Gloucestershire Council to explore ways of getting drivers to slow down.
"It is an almost impossible job as speed bumps are not very popular and people ignore flashing signs."
Mr Miller added that the parish council was going "back to square one" but hoped it would be advised of some practical options by South Gloucestershire's road safety experts.
