NO party is in overall control of South Gloucestershire Council following last night's local elections.
It was a disastrous night for the Liberal Democrats, who lost seven seats across the district. Labour were the main beneficiaries, gaining six seats, while the Tories also gained one.
The new council consists of 34 Conservatives, 21 Lib Dems and 15 Labour members.
