POLICE have launched an inquiry after a racist attack at a drive-through restaurant in Cribbs Causeway.
Officers were called to the Kentucky Fried Chicken eatery following reports that an employee had been assaulted and racially abused by a driver.
The incident occurred at around 1.15pm on Saturday, May 7 when a man driving a red Audi TT racially abused the worker employee before throwing a drink at him.
The driver is described as a white man, aged 30 to 35-years old and of very large build.
Investigating the incident, DC Liz Mildren, said: "This was a frightening ordeal for the victim who was abused and assaulted while trying to do his job.
"We will not tolerate people being subjected to this sort of behaviour and we will continue with our inquiries to identify the person responsible.
"It is not too late for the person responsible to come forward and explain their actions. I would appeal for the driver, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to get in touch with the police."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Avon and Somerset Police on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
